Energy Efficiency Projects
WHAT IS ENERGY EFFICENCY AND WHY YOU NEED IT?

Energy studies are carried out in order to determine energy saving potentials, energy wastes and greenhouse gas emissions, and to demonstrate the technical and economical effects of the recyclable or preventive measures.

Within the scope of energy studies, the following categories are considered on an annual basis;

 - Input Profile:   Types of energy entering the enterprise or building (natural gas, fuel oil, coal, electricity, steam / hot water, etc.), unit energy quantities (the amount of energy carried by the unit weight or volume of inputs in kWh), usage amount - time graphs .

 - Waste Profile:   Types of evaluable energy wastes (flue gas, hot gas / water, steam, etc.) from heating / cooling systems, energy conversion systems or production process, cause of formation, quantity - time graphs.

 - Loss-Leak Profile:   The amount of energy that can be lost and prevented due to insufficient thermal insulation in buildings and equipment, leaks / leaks in equipment, gas / water / fuel leaks and incompatibilities in electrical systems.

 - Inefficiency Profile:   The amount of energy that can be wasted and prevented by energy-efficient equipment or process application.

 - Waste profile:   The amount of energy wasted on equipment that is overused, pending or wasted in heating, cooling, lighting, office needs and similar areas.

 - Emission Profile:   Greenhouse gas quantities based on the energy types in the input profile.

 - Energy Management Profile:   The adequacy of the energy manager / management unit in the enterprise, the procedures applied, the awareness level of the employees and the top management view of energy management.

WHAT ARE THE STEPS OF ENERGY STUDY?

Preliminary Study
Study profiles in the enterprise or building are analyzed with the help of documents, interviews, observations and, where necessary, point measurements. Prevention and / or recovery potentials are estimated. Measures that can be applied for these are determined together with their approximate costs and recovery times. Suggestions are developed to eliminate the shortcomings observed in the energy management profile. The studies and the work program deemed necessary to be included in the detailed study are determined. The preliminary studies shall be completed within a maximum of ten working days together with the preliminary study report.

Preliminary Study Briefing
Pre-study briefings are given to the managers including the senior manager of the enterprise and the employees determined by the senior management for a day. In this briefing; The costs and benefits along with the general introduction of energy efficiency in the world and sample applications in Turkey, preliminary study results and precautions to be taken for granted and useful documents are distributed, the participants of the briefing questions are answered and their opinions are taken, the need for detailed study and based on the results of this study also It is indicated that VAP can be prepared and the decision of the top management is requested.

Detailed Study
Preventive and / or recovery potentials are estimated with a maximum error rate of ± 10% by making measurements and calculations under operating conditions in the subjects that are appropriate to be included in the detailed study according to preliminary survey results. Measure options that can be applied by using preliminary and detailed survey results are analyzed with technical and economic features. In this context, by selecting the most appropriate measures, the information that will be prepared later will be directed to the productivity increasing projects.

Reporting
The formats of the preliminary and detailed survey reports are determined by the T Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to be Applied in the scope of Authorizations, Certifications, Reports and Projects to be Conducted in the Scope of Energy Efficiency Law No. 5627 de published in the Official Gazette dated 06.02.2009 and numbered 27133.
