Compansation Monitoring Services

It is of great importance to prevent reactive fines arising from the compensation system in today's world where energy efficiency gains importance.
- Reduces the current drawn.
- Materials with smaller current values can be used since the current decreases.
- There is no need to pay reactive price.
Penalty payments on electricity bills are often unnoticed. Assuming an active expenditure, excess invoice amounts are paid due to reactive use.
The compensation system in the facilities should be regularly monitored and periodically maintained. Otherwise, it may be inevitable to pay excess electricity bill in case of negative situation.
Reactive or capacitive penalties occur due to the lack of maintenance of the compensation panels of the plants and, most importantly, as the compensation board remains small as the plant grows. The solution is possible by remodeling the compensation panel.
Even if the reactive power relay indicates normal, the meters must be checked for an abnormal condition. If there is a problem, unbalanced consumption, incorrect connection, capacitors and contactors must be checked.
The system should be kept under constant supervision and monitored periodically. Otherwise, it will be inevitable that the intervention will be delayed and reactive will be imposed.
Benefits of Compensation System
In terms of Subscribers;
- Reduces voltage drop.- Reduces the current drawn.
- Materials with smaller current values can be used since the current decreases.
- There is no need to pay reactive price.
In terms of Energy Distribution Companies;
- As the drawn power decreases, it avoids the additional installation cost due to voltage drop. In other words, more efficiency can be achieved and new needs can be met from existing substations.
Under what conditions does Tedaş obligate Compensation System?
All subscribers except residential subscribers, single-fed subscribers, subscribers with a connection power up to 9kW (included) must install the measuring device (meter) to measure inductive reactive and capacitive reactive energy. Although it is mandatory, it is accepted that the customer who does not have a reactive energy measuring system (counter) draws 0.90 times the active energy drawn by that period and reactive energy price is charged accordingly.
